It might be a good idea to have members be able to send messages directly to each other.
This might already be a feature and I haven’t looked around enough, but if not - it’s an
idea. Thanks for putting this together!

Id like to be able to have avatars and signature photos again. Or is that option already available? I didn’t see it in the profile section. This helps to distinguish who we are.

I think it would be nice to leave a little more space between the time of the post and the beginning of the sentence. Don’t know how to describe what I mean, me be stupid foreigner. :P
oh and is it possible to start a non Jack or non environmental related topic section so we can chat about everything like we used to?

I think we should have a externt forum with avatars like the old one.
This forum is great job but the older 1 was beter.
And this hole site and forum is running extremly slow for my why ?

Maybe cannels for some countries would be great. So we could sort ourselfs to concentrate on our area. And we hadn’t to speak only English, we could use ‘our’ language.

Well, forum wise, i’d prefer a solid, bright coloured background, as much as I like the rainbow colours.
And a forum for Jack related topics, this is after all a Jack Johnson website and that would make it easier for newbies to ask questions etc. Something similar for completely random threads, much like the old not Jack-related forum would be really appreciated too.

It seems like this board is moving away from a “message board standard”. The readability of the posts is quite difficult.
When creating my profile I was asked to upload a picture. It said the format of my picture was not allowed. Is this because of the size or not allowing .jpg files?
More separation is needed from the left section and post body. HTML tag support would be a nice addition as well. Hope it helps.

I would like for us to be able to make our signatures again, to personalise our msgs a little more, like on the old forum. that’s where everyone’s creativity came out and it wass like a personal touch from each of us! also i would like the name of the member posting a msg to be more readable, on the post, rather than the date and time being in bold.
private msging would be great.
last but not least i would like it if we were able to have some of our old posts back-not sure of anything can be done about that, but there is a lot of time and effort and memories put into those threads, it would be nice to incorporate parts of the old with the new

The purpose of the new forum seems to be very different from the old one. It seems some people are really more interested in the old one, based more on socializing, keeping up with Jack-related music, shows, etc., etc.
Rather than trying to make this new forum do both, it seems that there needs to be two separate places to go, based on the individual’s priorities. I know with ALO, the yahoo forum seems to be the active one—and I don’t know if there are other Jack-related forums as alternatives to this one.
I am personally more interested in the new format and what it is trying to accomplish, that’s just me. I don’t know what kinds of costs are involved in hosting and managing a forum, but I am assuming this new format was put together because it is the direction that Jack wants to go with his site. If this is what Jack wants for his web site, I think we should respect that.

I support the idea of private messages. I just found my friends profile but i cant contact him. Its good that this website was made, i can feel free to talk about whats on my mind. I would also like the idea of having forums for different contries so i can talk to ppl in communities near me. There should also be a multicultural forum for every1 to use so we can talk to ppl around the world.
