Every sunday each church prints hundreds of bulletins (programs) for their services. These sheets of paper are looked at for a few minutes and then tossed to the side. I’ve tried to figure out a way for churches to avoid these completely but with things constantly changing, especially in large churches, these are an unfortunate necessity. I have begun talking to my church office about organizing a way to collect these after the service and get them recycled, even if I have to drop them off myself. This could save tons of paper and room in our landfills. If we can convince our churches to print on recycled paper as well then we can greatly reduce the negative impact that they have on the planet God has given us. I hope that many others read this and follow my example. Even if you don’t have a church home I encourage you to ask local churches to do this, and just because your church agrees to recycle don’t stop there, start asking all your local churches. Please pass this idea on.
