A project on the way where i am… in aus… sorry i wont give anymore details than that at the moment.... however i will say this.... it is being called the heritage trail..... and it composes all native flora.... it was started around 5 yrs ago and it seems that there are birds beginning to feed off the trees that have never been seen in this area before.... including black cockatoos!!!!… anyway it has a trail with a stone circle that leads eventually a Bora Ring..... (research what a Bora Ring is.... quite unique actually)...The stone circle is made for teachers to get students out of a normal classroom setting and share thoughts and ideas on topics being taught. The Trail is a small representation of australia’s past.... like a time line that begins from the past before colonisation to the present. The garden is being supported with school murals to represent the indigenous people’s… with phrases such as ‘look to the past’..... etc. It is quite unique considering that it is one of the most underfunded schools in the state.... all the work that has been put into this has been the result of teachers using their funds (from their departments) to keep the project going.... in an environment that is in a real crisis..... nobody knows how long it will continue for… and there is very little recognition for the hard work that is being put into the project..... Just to end on a positive the people involved are looking at planting native fruits and berries to demonstrate and educate about edible bush food....etc....
