Village Green vs. General Admission

I’m concerned about the general admission seating at the upcoming shows...by all accounts it’s looking downright ugly.  I really wanted to visit the village, but am afraid of missing out on a good seat for the show.  Thoughts?

They offered reserved seating at the show I am going to in Kansas City.  The GA seats are closer to the stage but at least won’t have to worry about getting a seat.

I had the same problem in Munich. I was in the front row but also wanted to go to the Village Green and buy a T-Shirt. That’s why I asked a girl standing next to me if she would be so nice to reserve the place next to her and offered to buy a coke for her if she did. Fortunately she did it, which was quite nice of her.
Standing in the front row was splendid!!

I actually was helping Surfrider and Rise Above Plastics at the show in Kansas, so when we finished up my wife and daughter showed up to watch the show - there were a lot of visitors, but certainly the forst 15 minutes the gates opened, everyone was just running to get to be one of the first 5,000 up front.

I’m sure those folks didn’t get to leave the pit area and enjoy the Villiage Green Stuff.

I previously was at Alpine Valley and sat in GA and it was fun - I didn’t go down to the front section, just hung out in the gras, layed a blanket down and went to visit the Village Green.

If you are going to a show - please do take time to visit the Village Green.  Alpine had some really cool groups and at Sandstone there was really only one local - the rest were the usual.  But they are worth checking out.

Especially to take the pledge to - Rise Above Plastics!

I’m going with 2 other people and we’re planning on 1 of us always being at our seats while the other 2 check out the Village Green together.  We figure that’s our only shot at not losing our seats.  I really don’t plan on trying to fight my way to the front though, I just want to hear some good music and chill out.

I’ll be at the Gorge in Washington, I’ve never been there before so my plan might not work.
