So far I cannot find any information on this. Last year they announced the dates in August! Is there a chance they will not have the festival this year? I wanna go to the festival badly and was going to take a trip for it… |

It still seems highly unlikely that the annual kokua festival won’t happen in 2009, but it’s a little unusual that the usual date is less than 5 months away and no official announcement on the dates have been made. I know that the 2008 show was announced in the summer of ‘07. I don’t recall the years before. Taking into account the dates of the previous 5 years, it looks like that April 18th, 19th 2009 would make the most sense. |

I hope the make the announcement soon so we can all plan our travel at a resonable date. This is my one week of vacation and where better to spend it than on the south shore in April with multiple days of Jack Johnson playing at the shell. I absolutely love this festival. |

I was looking at the schedule of Heather Brown (the artist that painted the Kokua poster last year). She has listed Spring 2009- Jack Johnson’s Keiki Kokua Day. Makes me wonder if there is even going to be a festival this year? |

Though I hate to say it, it seems unlikely at this point since the dates haven’t been announced. |
