This Warm December

Hey all,

I’m surprised there hasn’t been a topic started on Brushfire’s new holiday release, This Warm December. It comes out November 11th, and I’m stoked.

I’ve only heard Zee Avi’s “No Christmas For Me” and it’s pretty good. I’m glad they added her to the Brushfire family. If you haven’t heard her, check out her Myspace. She’s soulful.

Went to HMV this morning to pick it up, they never got their shipment :(
I’ve listened to it already on iLike, it’s really great! Just like to have the hard copy.

So would it be best to buy in stores because it will cost a bit more and more $$$ will go to the educational programs? Or does it pretty much even out no matter which way you buy the CD?

So will this be a “Christmas album”? Or is it just new songs coming out around the holdays?

You can buy it at Amazon for 9.99 right now. Doesn’t matter where you buy it, so long as you arent buying a “used” copy. Used, and it just came out Tuesday? That’s people selling their promo copies without even listening to em. No money will go to charity from that purchase. Otherwise, through any store, Itunes, etc, it will be the same as everyone pays the same wholesale price.

Thanks.

b-ville mariner, it’s a good review. I just hope you realize that “Someday at Christmas” is a Stevie Wonder cover.

I do realize that, but there’s a reason he chose to cover that song.  It’s all about the politics and social commentary.  I realize he’s passionate, and I can’t say I disagree with him.  But frankly I’m sick of the politics.

Thanks for reading and commenting, jcoons32.

I really like this new album.  Jack’s song is definitely my favorite and Zee Avi’s song comes in 2nd.  I love her voice and style, it reminds me of music from the 40s.  And in my opinion Mason Jennings chose the PERFECT song for his voice!

I sincerely hope Jack continues to make music and share it with the world. “Someday at Christmas” just made me think about how much I love his voice and appreciate how he puts his heart and soul out there.  There is something very sincere and real about him and I’m very grateful to have found his music.
