Folks, the public onsale for these shows hasn’t happened yet, or just started and still have tickets available. This links to scalpers who are preselling tickets they may not even have. There are official auctions to each show via ticketmaster, and the additional proceeds are being donated to environmental charities, not a scalper’s bottom line. as always, links to the proper ticket onsales are found at http://www.jackjohnsonmusic.com/tour |

wow, careful who you’re talking to. labelguy is obviously someone who runs the website or maybe even jack’s label for that matter. |

Just because the site may list companies that are considered secondary ticket providers it does not necessarily mean they are scalpers trying to screw you out of your money. |

your argument would hold a lot more water if they actually did include the public onsale tickets from ticketmaster, etc . Go look at Raleigh as an example, a market that went on sale already, and has tickets available for sale via ticketmaster for face value. There is no link the legitimate onsale information, just to the auction sites and scalpers selling lawn tix for 75 bucks each and up. http://www.jackjohnsonmusic.com/tour has the links to all of the legitimate onsales. All shows currently on sale (except Red Rocks which sold out immediately) have tickets from the box office available. The tour page also lists the opening acts for each date. |

All I am doing is letting people know there is other sites out there, you don’t have to go to ticketmaster(which most people hate)and pay all their additional tack ons and fees…they are in my opinion the biggest scalper of them all. |

I agree ticketmaster fees suck, HOWEVER would i rather: hmmmmm, if I can get the tickets through TM, I’ll pay the fees. |

Of course, that’s the thing. Ticketmaster can get away with it because they’re ticketmaster and everybody knows the name and honestly they’re a good company even though gouge their customers at every opportunity. Most of those comparison sites however list reputable companies like razorgator, ticketsnow, abctickets, stubhub, ticketmaster etc. with the comparison sites you’re not going to see sheisty, back alley companies selling their wares, at least that is my experience. |

and as for the prices ....I mean that’s the great thing with the comparison sites… you can see what everybody is selling their tickets for so you know if your paying at a discount, face value, or a premium, that’s the benefit. They list all these companies so you can factor in price, fees, and reputability all in one place so you can make the best decision. |

I can’t believe this is still carrying on. Like I said before, have a little respect for labelguy who obviously is managing the site and ticket purchases. Like you, he is stating HIS case on the site that HE manages. Why do you care so much that we all know about this Tickex website? If fans are wanting to go to a show that bad, we obviously will find a way to get tickets either way. |

A quick Google search of the user names “gregsmedge” reveals that this same user name is used to post (“hawk”) this website on many sports and performing artist message boards…so the real question is who do you work for?…lol, not that we didn’t already know… |

ahahah good one. I actually go on the Dave matthews band message board antsmarching.org quite a bit and he posted pretty much the same thing: “If you are looking for tickets and can’t find them from the member ticket exchange go to http://www.tickex.com it’s a comparison site so you can easily browse and purchase tickets through the inventories of all the online sellers (stubhub, ticketmaster, ticketsnow, etc.)all in one easy site. It’s the best one i’ve found. http://www.tickex.com/search/artist/...s-band-tickets” He clearly either owns the website or works for the website. |

I have total respect for labelguy and I don’t think i’m being disrespectful whatsoever. We are simply engaging in a friendly argument…no harm in that. |
