Saw Jack Johnson en Concert last night at a theatre in my city…and I have to say, it really took me back to last summer, when I found myself at the Gorge Ampitheatre in Washington.
I found that the film really allowed me to soak in the music…because when I was at the Gorge, don’t get me wrong it was amazing, but it was kind of hard to enjoy the music because of all of the people around me, shoving and pushing each other, and at one point, punching each other!
Perfect balance of music and behind-the-scenes interviews and whatnot.
Jack & Emmett Malloy - amazing job! I truly, truly enjoyed it. And it was good to see that I wasn’t the only one in the movie theatre!

i downloaded the new cd and it’s much better than i thought it’d be. the electric guitar gave this different thing to Jack’s music. i’ve been listening to it since i got the download and it makes me feel better and better, last time i felt that way was when i first listened to on and on. i can’t forget to mention the participation of Zach and Merlo on staple it together and wasting time. now, all i can do is wait for the dvd, cd and etc. congratulations, Jack!

Yeah I totally agree.
I was hoping it would be as good as Weekend at the Greek, but it surpassed it by a long shot.
Every time I listen to the opening track, I actually laugh! “Je ne comprends pas francais, je suis désolé, mais je voudrais vous aimer” Haha! (I guess this would only be funny if you knew what it meant, for those who don’t know: “I don’t understand French…I’m sorry, but I would like to love you”)...keeping in mind of course, that he’s performing this one in France…I thought it was pretty funny :)
Also, at the end of Sleep Through the Static, the electric bit he does is way better than the one on the album…way better. I am actually surprised at the clarity of the whole thing considering it is all live. Absolutely amazing. It would be great to have Weekend at the Greek on CD like this.

i have a weekend at the greek and it’s an awesome dvd. i can’t believe when you say this one is even better. it could be as good, but better? what should i expect from this new one then???
i didn’t know what “mais je voudrais vous aimer” mean… it makes much more sense now. :D
you read my mind! that version of sleep through the static is the best!! when i first saw the trailer i wondered what was the music with the electric guitar. it’s really, really nice. and i have a weekend at the greek on cd, found it on the internet. it’s not official, of course, but it’s a good recording.

En Concert is absolutely amazing. It’s great that they also showed some parts from the concert in Munich. It was a great concert even considering the thunderstorm. The film is edited really well. Unfortunately it’s only about 75 minutes long but I’m excited when a new Jack Johnson album may be released.

Sorry I didn’t understand! Like the other poster said, yes he plays it, and its another really good, unique electric guitar solo at the end! The electric storm he played through was absolutely wild!
