With Valentine’s day coming up I know plenty of people that need to get in the mood. It’s really an easy fix when you are familiar with Jack Johnson’s music. Specifically, I recommend: Girl I Wanna Lay You Down, Better Together, Cocoon & Angel. These are definitely going on to the mix “tape” for my honey. Any other romantic JJ songs I’m forgetting?

I personally don’t think Cocoon is a good ‘get you in the mood’ song, it’s about breaking up and moving on and I don’t know if that’s supposed to get you in the mood or not, lol!
Personally, romantic-wise, I love Wasting Time, Banana Pancakes and No Other Way. :)

Huh! I actually think cocoon is a romantic song …Yea!! It’s about a break up but it’s about saying goodbye in a sweet (painful) way. But I agree…I see what you mean; it’s not a song for Valentine day. But, what a song!!!!
It’s interesting how we all have a different interpretation of JJ’s lyric. I read in another thread people’s opinion about “Drift”. Someone even said something about a Jack singing to a whale…love it!! because for me drift is a sad song that even makes me think about my father (RIP). I think regardless of knowing what motivated JJ to write all these beautiful song; we can still make them our own and have fun with it. It’s only fair!! HEY! It’s only true if you believe it!!

Constellations. Although listening to the song he is talking about when they were kids with their dad or “Papa” but I absolutely love it. I dream of laying the beach with my honey, with a bottle of wine, looking up at the stars. It’s one of my all time favorites.
