Make Earth Hour Happen In Your Town
On 31 March 2007, more than 2 million Sydney businesses and households
turned off their lights for one hour - Earth Hour - sending a powerful national
and global message that it’s possible to take action on global warming.
At 8pm on 29 March 2008, Earth Hour goes global, with cities and towns
around the world taking stand on the greatest threat our planet has ever
faced, and millions of people uniting to turn the tide on global warming.
Cities such as Chicago, Toronto, Melbourne, Brisbane, Tel Aviv, and many more will all be participating in this movement. Over 133,209 households and 8,690 companies have signed up at http://www.earthhour.org.
I am Trying to make earth hour part of our local community for this year and the future. I hope that the residents and businesses of south Florida decide to take an active roll against global warming. You all should do the same in your home towns.
Remember “We did not inherit the earth from our ancestors, we borrow it from our children.” Native American proverb.
