This past fall, 6,000 young people gathered at the University of Maryland for Power Shift 2007, the first-ever national youth summit to solve the climate crisis (put together by the Energy Action Coalition). In order to make sure we get a climate champion elected to the oval office this fall, the EAC and students across the country are running a campaign called “Power Vote,” aiming to get at least 1 million young people to register to vote, and pledge to vote for and hold accountable the presidential candidate who pledges to take serious action on climate change - check it out at http://energyactioncoalition.org/powervote.
