So far, the Jack Johnson downloads that have been offered are the exact same acoustic versions I bought separately through iTunes Australia. So they’re hardly ‘exclusive’. I’m pretty damn annoyed about that. Plus the green activism being pushed on us in order to get the songs is really starting to ruin how I view Jack’s music. Can’t we just enjoy it and make our own informed decision? I’m sure you’re preaching to the choir considering Jack’s core demographic who would want this music anyway. Just saying what we’re all thinking. Coming to this place is now a drag! |

I really don’t think it’ll kill you to look at information to make your informed decision… I also don’t see how it’s ruining Jack’s music… The music’s still free after all and I don’t see other artists doing anything like this… We’re not entitled to Jack’s music, we’re gifted it… |

I can see where you might not be happy that you bought songs that ended up being free to others, but most of us wouldn’t have know how to get them. The point of All At Once is about the environment and this is Jack’s way of making people aware of what needs to be done. He could have just as easily had webpage that just showed tour dates only. This was meant to be a forum on informing people and helping them make the right decisions. If you don’t like it, listen to his music and don’t hang out here. I think it’s awesome that he’s doing this and it is making a difference of how people think. I see it all the time here in KC. The free songs - making you check out things if for the education - if you don’t like it then you are missing the point of this community. |
