Categories for Discussion

Seems like a lot of threads are posted under General Discussion that might go elsewhere, and I’m wondering if anyone else thinks we might adjust the Categories??  I’m sure over time this will evolve.  What I really wish we had was a category for Buildings & Construction.

But I’m also just thinking out loud here...it’s hard to come up with categories since there is so much overlap and it’s hard to choose where to post sometimes.

---- Food (gardening, organic, pollutants...)
---- Water (Oceans, water quality, runoff, bottled water,...)
---- Clothing (manufacturing, fibers, etc.)
---- Shelter(building materials, reuse, insulation, systems, panels...)
---- Transportation (public, carpooling, pollutants, ...)
---- Education (materials, resources, programs...)
---- Communication
---- Health
---- Energy (alternative energy, fuels, ...)
---- Waste (3Rs, landfills, ...)
---- Public Policy
---- World Issues (Climate change, poverty, ...)

Like I said, just thinking out loud…

I would say that the real issue is the fact that there are way to many forums.

good advice jlc mom
we will take it under consideration

It might have something to do with the layout of the website. When you go to community, you are automatically transported to the general discussion section, instead of being taken to a list of the categories.
