I took the quiz for my household and actually scored pretty low.  The quiz lacks asking about some every day practices and impacts… we carpool to work, shop very little, plant many trees, take measures to reduce, and recycle in an area with very little opportunity to recycle.  Many things that we so do weren’t included in the quiz.  Our electric is skyrocketing currently… we can control our energy consumption, however we cannot control the amount our local charges for electric and water… I was just suprised how poorly we ranked.

I really wanted to share the Green ID quiz because they plant a tree for everyone who takes the quiz.  But I agree the quiz could use some fine tuning. I followed the link that you posted too. Thanks for sharing, I liked that one a lot. I think that it’ll be neat to see all the sites that people share. It’s a great way to spread the news about going green!

Thanks!  I like the plant a tree concept too.  I try to hit all sites like that because of that tree they will plant/or $1 they will give.  The quizes are fun too.  This is a great web site for sharing info, I totally agree and am meeting some nice people. I am trying to find a site that someone mentioned to me.  It lets you take a look at the trees in you own back yard and calculate the benifits (carbon offset, nutrient filtering, etc...) of YOUR yard.  How cool?  I will check back when I find it.
