All At Once

Hello all,
Anna here from the Algalita Marine Research Foundation. We’ve been researching the buildup of plastic debris in the North Pacific for the last 10 years - suffice it to say, the issue has skyrocketed:

To bring more media attention to the issue, we decided to do something unusual. So we built a raft out of 15,000 plastic bottles. a Cessna 310 airplane fuselage, and other junk - currently sailing to Hawaii.

We’ve witnessed firsthand that our oceans are turning into a plastic soup, wreaking havoc on marine ecosystems and human health….we’ve got to end the age of disposables plastics, and begin designing/acting for the future. Follow our journey, and climb on board!
