Does anyone know what types of acoustic guitars Jack is using currently? I noticed he switched out several times at the concert. Thanks |

Jack uses a Cole Clark acoustic, http://www.coleclarkguitars.com/artist-jackjohnson.asp As far as electric, from what I have seen he uses mainly a Fender Telecaster and I have seen him use a Stratocaster the odd time. |

At a recent concert, Jack swapped numerous times. He played on two separate Cole Clark acoustics (one a cut-away and the other not). He also used a Gibson hollow body electric and another Cole Clark electric (body appeared to be similar to a telecaster). Oh yeah, a koa ukulele was used (brand?...I do not know). |

hey, just a tip: if you are just learning how to play i would not even worry about cole clarks or martin’s or taylor’s or anything like that… get a $100 jasmine by takamine. it is cheap but doesn’t look or sound it(well, not too bad anyway.) I have one and it is what i learned on. the action is a little high to learn on, but i’m sure if it’s too bad you can have that modified. I would definately go for a lower priced guitar to start with, you never know if guitar just isn’t for you and you end up quitting and having this $1000 guitar laying around collecting dust. another tip: keep at it, your fingers are going to hurt for the first couple weeks or so, and it takes a long time and a lot of practice to get that muscle memory, but if you work at it a little everyday you’ll get there, it just might take a while! Good luck! |
