Suggestion Anyone??

Jun 24, 2008 09:08pm nogali Total Posts: 132	Hey, I was looking for a little help. My son receives his medicine in a large box once a month. It need to be kept cool so they ship it in a great big styrofoam box inside a cardboard box, with ice packs. I have tried to ask them to switch the packing material, but they cannot, I have offered to send it back, but they say they will not reuse it. Any suggestions for what I could do with the styrofoam?

For anyone else wondering....there is an alliance of foam packaging recyclers that I can mail the styrofoam to, unfortunately, this means I have to store the junk somewhere. Oh well, if anyone comes up with a better plan let me know.

This morning while watching the news, I see that they are asking for styrofoam coolers for the food drive for the flood victims. I took my cooler and about 40 refreezeable ice packs along with a bag full of canned food. Okay, I wonder if it will be this easy every month.

Jun 26, 2008 02:30am jlc mom Total Posts: 125	I wonder if one of those Mailboxes stores would take them. I know they will take the packing “peanuts” and reuse them. Seems worth a try. I don’t know if they ship cold things or not.
