YOU CAN VOTE GOOD ENVIRONMENTAL POLICY INTO OFFICE... LET YOUR VOICE BE HEARD.
The Jack Johnson Tour is partnering with voter education and activation organizations around the world to encourage everyone to use their voices to create positive change. In the States, we’re proud to be working with Headcount and Vote the Environment to help people get registered to vote and provide information on candidate’s environmental records so everyone can make informed choices. 2008 will be an important year of change in the US government, and more than ever, it is important to participate. It’s up to you as an individual how to vote, we just want to make getting educated easy and encourage everyone to raise their voices loud and clear.
VOTE THE ENVIRONMENT
There are lots of reasons to vote, but, before you pick your favorite candidates, consider the environment. Our partners at the Vote the Environment campaign have been vocal in elections since 2004, encouraging all citizens to:
1) Register to vote
2) Get informed
3) Consider the environment when pulling the lever
Check them out for more information about how you can vote the environment at www.votetheenvironment.org.
HEADCOUNT
HeadCount, a non-partisan, not-for-profit organization devoted to voter registration and participation in democracy, joins the Jack Johnson tour on the road and is also representing Vote the Environment. HeadCount was created in 2004 by a group of artists, music industry pros and fans who believe music, expression and freedom are all intertwined. To date, HeadCount has registered more voters than any other all-volunteer group in the country. Visit www.headcount.org to get involved.
