United We Serve

Last year we called upon you to volunteer as part of the All At Once community. Thousands of volunteers participated in nonprofit events all over the world, showing that an individual action, multiplied by millions, creates global change.

This summer, President Obama is asking all Americans to serve their country as part of the United We Serve campaign. The United We Serve campaign is one of the key on-going initiatives from the White House designed to make it easy to get involved, to build communities, and move the nation forward.

www.serve.gov provides opportunity for citizens to easily get involved in their individual communities nationwide, as part of this historic summer of service.

Jeff Canham Art featured in Surfer’s Journal

This Limited Edition tour poster of the “Red Rocks (8/17/08)” Jeff Canham design from Jack’s “Sleep Through The Static Tour can still be purchased online.  The posters are screenprinted on a quality 100% recycled stock and sold in numbered editions of 300.

Jack Johnson En Concert to be released on August 25th

Exciting times around the Brushfire offices as we are wrapping up the latest release from Jack Johnson entitled “En Concert”.  The release will be available in a range of different formats. There will be a DVD and Bluray release of the film, and the album will be released on CD and LP. There will also be a deluxe combo pack that features the DVD and CD together, and finally, both will be available through Itunes and other digital retailers.  As we get closer to the release date, we’ll announce the final tracklists for the film and the CD (the tracklists will be different).

In the meantime, follow us on Twitter. When we get to 20,000 followers, we’ll be posting a link there to download a free track from the CD.

The Shorebreak Art of Clark Little

For years he would voluntarily put his life on the line to experience these brief moments of bliss. Luckily for the rest of us, someone put a camera in his hand - Jack Johnson.

Waimea Shorebreak surfer, turned art photographer, Clark Little, announces a self published Photography book and a summer slideshow from Sao Paulo to Seal Beach.

Compiled under the working title, The Shorebreak Art of Clark Little, the book got off to a nice start when World Champion Kelly Slater and North Shore surfer/musician Jack Johnson quickly and generously wrote forewords praising Clark for capturing those “brief moments of bliss” that all surfers experience in a blaze of adrenalin.  

$1 from the sale of each book will be donated to Jack Johnson’s Kokua Hawaii Foundation.

Jack Johnson to release a new DVD and Live CD

This summer will bring the DVD/Blu-Ray release of a new film by Emmett Malloy, En Concert, which documents Jack Johnson’s 2008 summer tour across Europe. There will be a companion audio release.  More details to come, including formats, release date, and track listing. For now, you can see the trailer here:
