1% For the Planet
1% For The Planet is enabling businesses to take a lead role in being environmental stewards and to set an example for the rest of the business community. These companies embrace the notion that the sustainability of the natural environment is fundamental to the sustainability of business.
Climate Counts
Climate Counts is a non-profit campaign that scores companies annually on the basis of their voluntary action to reverse climate change. If the world's 100 largest companies reduced their greenhouse gas emissions by 5% -- just 5% -- it would be like taking 25 million cars off the road. You can vote with your dollar every day. Companies really do care what you think.
Friends of the Rouge Watershed
Each year, FRW involves approximately 40 schools and 2,500 students in our "Green Watershed" and "Clean Air" projects. FRW projects provide students with an opportunity to learn about the Rouge Park, watershed protection, and ecological restoration, through first hand experience.
HeadCount
HeadCount, a non-partisan, not-for-profit organization devoted to voter registration and participation in democracy, joins the Jack Johnson tour on the road and is also representing Vote the Environment. HeadCount was created in 2004 by a group of artists, music industry pros and fans who believe music, expression and freedom are all intertwined. To date, HeadCount has registered more voters than any other all-volunteer group in the country.
Lake Ontario Waterkeeper
Lake Ontario Waterkeeper fulfills its mission by educating the public about Lake Ontario and the Great Lakes Basin and by conducting research and public education activities on behalf of the watershed. Our goal is to restore and protect Lake Ontario's natural resources, as well as contribute to its aesthetic, social recreational and economic values.
Surfrider Foundation
The Surfrider Foundation is dedicated to the protection and enjoyment of the world's oceans, waves and beaches for all people, through conservation, activism, research and education. As part of the tour, Surfrider is launching their "Rise Above Plastics" campaign to educate the public about the dangers plastics pose to our environment, and what each of us can do to help reduce these impacts.
Toronto Green Community
The mission of Toronto Green Community is to engage its citizens in community-based environmental initiatives. In pursuing this mission we have designed and operated a wide array of projects dealing with environmental issues ranging from climate change to toxic wastes, atmospheric pollution to stream water management.
Vote the Environment
The goal of the Vote the Environment campaign is to highlight the unequivocal link between environmental issues and the role elections play in deciding their outcome. We will build on this platform through the following main points: 1) REGISTER TO VOTE 2) GET INFORMED 3) VOTE THE ENVIRONMENT

GREEN FAN ACTIONS ON TOUR
Before the Show:
- Select the CO2 offset purchase option when you purchase your ticket through Ticketmaster, Live Nation, or Musictoday.
- Explore videos by local non-profits on the All At Once site and Jack Johnson will donate $1 per view to those organizations through his new charity, the Johnson Ohana Charitable Foundation.
- Get involved with local environmental activities in your town and participate in an All At Once pre-show event. Check the All At Once Volunteer Calendar for details.

- Arrive by mass transit or bicycle, or set up a carpool and find out if there’s VIP parking for carpools and hybrid vehicles.

At the Show:
- Make sure to get to the show early and check out the Village Green. Visit the non-profits, and you just may get to see an exclusive performance by Jack’s supporting artists or Jack himself there!
- Get your All At Once Village Green Passport when you arrive! When you take at least three actions and receive passport stamps you can enter to win a chance for you and your guest to watch Jack’s performance from the the stage!
- Capture Your Commitment at the All At Once Photobooth. Your actions have a huge impact.
- Donate to a non-profit. Donations to the local non-profits at the show and online will be matched by Jack’s new charity, the Johnson Ohana Charitable Foundation! (Up to $2,500 US dollars or foreign equivalent per show)
- Take environmental action. Recycle at one of the recycling stations or refill your reusable water bottle at one of the water stations.
- Buy an exclusive Jack Johnson CO2 offset sticker. Proceeds benefit renewable energy projects.
After the Show:
Stay connected with the All At Once Community, get involved in your local and world community and make change together. At the end of the tour an environmental report will be posted on the website which tracks the positive environmental impacts of our collective actions and commitments.
GREEN BAND ACTIONS ON TOUR
Greening actions include:
- Providing on-site water stations, waste management, and recycling services.
- Reducing waste with the use of biodegradable food service items and reusable water bottles that can be refilled on-site.
- Fueling tour vehicles and/or generators with sustainable biodiesel (where available) to help reduce carbon dioxide (CO2) emissions by up to 78%.
- Offering eco-friendly tour merchandise, including organic cotton clothing, reusable water bottles, and tote bags.
- Minimizing distribution of paper at shows and using 100% recycled paper and soy-based inks for all printed materials.
- Using sustainable and recycled materials whenever possible for Village Green elements.
- Selecting environmentally-conscious travel and hotel options.
- Procuring locally grown and organic foods for backstage catering
- Offsetting all remaining CO2 emissions from the tour and for each night’s show using a unique CO2 Offset Strategy.
- Encouraging YOU to join us in action at each show by using mass transit or carpooling to the venue, visiting the Village Green, utilizing the recycling and water stations, offsetting your carbon footprint, and joining the All At Once community.
THE "ENVIRORIDER" (environmentally-conscious production rider)
In 2005, the Johnson’s, along with their crew, MusicMatters, and the leading environmental scientists developed the EnviroRider, an environmental handbook presenting eco-friendly options and actions for the various components of tour production (coordination, travel, venues, etc.). Since its 2005 release, the EnviroRider has been used by hundreds of artists and tours to date, quickly becoming the industry’s guide to green touring.
