One of the country's first watershed organizations, Charles River Watershed Association (CRWA) was formed in 1965 in response to public concern about the declining condition of the Charles. Since its earliest days of advocacy, CRWA has figured prominently in major clean-up and watershed protection efforts, working with government officials and citizen groups from 35 Massachusetts watershed towns from Hopkinton to Boston.

Climate Counts is a non-profit campaign that scores companies annually on the basis of their voluntary action to reverse climate change. If the world's 100 largest companies reduced their greenhouse gas emissions by 5% -- just 5% -- it would be like taking 25 million cars off the road. You can vote with your dollar every day. Companies really do care what you think.

EarthWorks Projects seeks to deepen ecological awareness and commitment by helping urban residents experience the nature that exists in Greater Boston. EarthWorks strives to create a healthier and more sustainable urban environment through hands-on projects, education, and advocacy and strengthens communities through service to the environment.

HeadCount, a non-partisan, not-for-profit organization devoted to voter registration and participation in democracy, joins the Jack Johnson tour on the road and is also representing Vote the Environment. HeadCount was created in 2004 by a group of artists, music industry pros and fans who believe music, expression and freedom are all intertwined. To date, HeadCount has registered more voters than any other all-volunteer group in the country.

The Student Peace Alliance unites youth from across the country around the common goal of establishing a Department of Peace. The Student Peace Alliance advocates for the creation of a Department of Peace through education and grassroots action.

The Surfrider Foundation is dedicated to the protection and enjoyment of the world's oceans, waves and beaches for all people, through conservation, activism, research and education. As part of the tour, Surfrider is launching their "Rise Above Plastics" campaign to educate the public about the dangers plastics pose to our environment, and what each of us can do to help reduce these impacts.

The mission of The Food Project is to grow a thoughtful and productive community of youth and adults from diverse backgrounds who work together to build a sustainable food system. We produce healthy food for residents of the city and suburbs and provide youth leadership opportunities.   Most importantly, we strive to inspire and support others to create change in their own communities.

UEI helps urban communities build healthy and vibrant cities by educating urban residents about the ecology of their environment, connecting residents to each other, and engaging residents in the transformation of their urban communities into places where they want to live.
