If you caught the new Tina Fey movie "Baby Mama" over the weekend (and maybe you did, it was the #1 movie this weekend), you heard a brand new song over the close of the movie from Zach Gill (with Jack Johnson on backing vocals and drums) called "Family". Â It is from Zach's upcoming record that will be out in late July (title TBD). Â
The song is now available from Itunes (along with a solo piano version of "The Water Song") here.

Big Mahalo to Kokua Festival Attendees, Volunteers, Performers and Supporters!
Apr 25, 2008
The 2008 Kokua Festival was a huge success. Everyone enjoyed the sensational music and activities. The Kokua Booth Village was a buzz with people learning and sharing the latest ideas in how to be green. We are especially excited about the interest and participation our attendees and fans took in all our greening measures, especially with the Earthday Resolutions and Kokua Festival Passports. Fans that weren't able to be inside the venue, still had the opportunity to hear the music from the surrounding park and make their Earthday Resolutions as well. Keep an eye on the Kokua Hawaii Foundation website to gage the impact we made together.
Mahalo nui loa for another amazing year!

JACK AND FRIENDS KICK OFF TOUR IN AUSTRALIA!
Mar 15, 2008

Jack Johnson's Sleep Through The Static World Tour kicked off this week in Australia. At the Sydney show on Saturday night, 27,236 people gathered in a beautiful tree lined meadow in Centennial Park to listen to Jack and his Brushfire friends, G. Love & Special Sauce and Matt Costa as well as Australian local boys Will Conner and Dave Rastavich. Aboriginal and Maori dancers performed a special “Welcome to Country ceremony just before Jack’s set.

Sydney concertgoers were the first to see the new All At Once Village Green in full effect. Over 6,000 people participated and just under 1,000 completed their . Fans received stamps for a variety of actions including: carpooling or taking mass transit to the show, utilizing the water and recycling stations on site, and visiting or donating to one of the several local non-profits groups at the Village Green. Concertgoers who turned in a completed passport were entered to win a chance to watch the show from the best seat in the house….the STAGE! Chelsea and Haley were the winners in Sydney and as you can see they were very happy.
